2020 Olympics bronze medalist Eumir Marcial remains an undefeated professional boxer after coming out victorious in his match against American foe Isiah Hart on Saturday evening in Las Vegas (Sunday, PH Time).

The Filipino fighter, who was knocked down three times, made an impressive comeback during the bout, stopping Hart in his tracks in the fourth round.

The 26-year old was announced the winner after the referee halted the action due to Hart’s condition.

With this win, Marcial has improved his record to 2-0 making this fight his first knock-out win. His first match was against another American boxer Andrew Whitfield in December 2020, who he defeated through points.

Hart first sent Marcial to the ring’s floor in the first round, however, the latter quickly recovered. Marcial was again floored in the second round after getting caught by Hart’s right hand. The Filipino boxer was knocked down again after but beat the count to continue the fight.

Ultimately, Marcial took the win after landing a left early in the fourth round. The referee halted the fight amid the protestations of the American’s corner.

This fight brought Hart’s pro career record down to 6-3-1.
