For those wanting to visit Camiguin this coming holiday season, Cebu Pacific has made it easier! The country’s top commercial flyer has resumed its Manila to Camiguin route, becoming the first airline in the Philippines to restart operations on the island since the pandemic began.

The direct flight—launched last November 15—will seamlessly connect Manila to Camiguin, allowing tourists to experience what the province has to offer once again.

“We are happy to be the first carrier to operate again in Camiguin, and launch our newest direct flight from Manila as borders begin to open up for safe and convenient travels. This route will allow more travelers to experience the beauty of Camiguin, perfect for solo or even family trips, as we enter the holiday season; while at the same time, providing locals a direct connection to Luzon,” Cebu Pacific Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao said.

Flights will operate on the weekdays (Monday to Friday) through Cebgo’s 78-seater ATR 72-600 aircraft. DG 6703 departs from Manila at 11:30 AM, while return flight DG 6704 departs from Camiguin at 2:20 PM.

Apart from Camiguin, Cebu Pacific has also resumed its flights between Cebu and Camiguin. It runs twice weekly—on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Camiguin Governor Jurdin Jesus Romualdo said he expects the flights to boost visitation in the island province.

“We are optimistic that the direct flights will bring more visitors to Camiguin and help boost tourism and invigorate the local economy. We share the goal of safe and responsible tourism, which should help the recovery, not only of the province, but the entire region,” Romualdo explained.
