As part of the World Teachers’ Day celebration, public school educators in the city of Makati will receive digital teaching kits courtesy of the local government.

The said kits will be given out to better equip teachers in Makati and help them transition to the current online learning system, which is being implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its contents include a jacket, boom microphone, numeric keypad, mini tripod, ring light, external sound card, backpack with a UV sterilizer and tumbler holder, and a pen tablet.

The packages will be distributed to schools in Makati. After that, teachers may then request the digital kits.

Besides this, the city has also allocated funding for learning packages – to be given to students from Kinder to Senior High School, including Special Education (SPED) and Alternative Learning System (ALS) students.

It will contain modules, a bag, uniform, leather shoes, a pair of rubber shoes, school supplies, and other essential supplies for this school year.

In addition, Mayor Abby Binay will also be providing free internet to students in the city through a Mobile Learning Hub, which will be deployed in various barangays in Makati.
