Though the current PBA conference is yet to wrap up, the league has already recognized Magnolia Hotshot’s Calvin Abueva as Philippine Cup’s ‘Best Player.’
Abueva was hailed as the 46th season’s top player on Wednesday (October 27) before his team’s Game Four tip-off against TNT Tropang Giga in the finals.
With this, the 33-year-old has received his second career BPC award with the first being in the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup as part of the Alaska Aces.
Abueva trumped fellow BPC candidates Ian Sangalang and TNT ace rookie Mikey Williams by averaging 15.2 points, 10 rebounds, 2.8 assists, one steal, and 1.1 blocks in 19 games throughout the conference.
