Travel by sea to five destinations in the Philippines has gotten much easier after requirements and restrictions were eased, 2GO Travel said.
According to the commercial sea travel provider, the cities of Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, and the province of Cebu are now allowing the entry of fully vaccinated travelers without the need for RT-PCR tests.
Those who wish to visit Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, and Iloilo can apply for their travel coordination permit through S-Pass, 2GO noted. Meanwhile, passengers going to Cebu province simply need to present a medical certificate issued within 24 hours before arrival to enter.
In addition, travelers would be able to buy trips for as low as Php 99 through 2GO’s latest promo, which is inclusive of free unlimited rebooking and a 50-kilogram baggage allowance.
The promo will run from October 20 to 26, 2021. Tickets bought can be used for sailing from November 15 to December 31, 2021.
On top of this, a 10 percent discount will be provided to fully inoculated passengers, specifically for non-promo tickets purchased from 2GO stores
“Safely restarting domestic travel plays an integral part in improving our economy. Ninety-five percent of 2GO’s vessel crew are vaccinated against COVID-19. Protocols that protect passenger and crew welfare are in place, and we are in in constant communication with LGUs to enable us to quickly cascade new developments on travel requirements to our passengers via our hotline and social media presence,” 2GO Assistant Vice President for Marketing Blessie Cruz said.
“With this, we are encouraging all our passengers to continue with their holiday plans and travel safe with 2GO,” she added.
