Another Filipina beauty has made history for the country this year!

Alexandra Faith Garcia took home the Philippines’s first-ever crown in the 2021 Miss Aura Int’l held in Antalya, Turkey on Sunday (Monday, PH Time).

Garcia also holds the distinction of being the first Pinay to represent the country in the international pageant, which debuted in 2006.

“WE DID IT PHILIPPINES! Your Miss Aura International 2021!” Garcia wrote on Instagram announcing her win.

The pageant’s other winners are Miss Romania Alexandra Stroe as 1st runner-up, Miss Ukraine Katerina Pidkopai as 2nd runner-up, Miss Colombia Maria Del Mar Meza as 3rd runner-up, and Miss France Cassandra de Soussa as 4th runner-up.

Originally, the Miss Aura International Philippines Organization was planning to hold a national pageant, however, they chose to hold a special screening due to time constraints and the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the end, Garcia won the nod of the organization and became the country’s inaugural competitor.

Garcia was already a household name in the pageant scene before her winning stint at Miss Aura Int’l. She’s participated in numerous national pageants in the Philippines including Miss Silka Philippines 2013, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014, Reyna ng Aliwan 2015 and Bb. Pilipinas 2016 and 2020 editions.
