With COVID-19 still present in the country, we’re still pretty much confined inside our homes for most of the year. But unlike 2020, we’re now able to travel without much restriction, specifically when it comes to the leisure kind.

Though that’s the case, travel to destinations that can only be reached by air is still limited. So, why not just travel a little closer?

A great place you can visit without having to travel far is Pangasinan. The city is situated in the Central Luzon Plains north of Metro Manila. Travel time is just three hours by car so you don’t even have to prepare that much – meaning you can go anytime you want.

And most important of all, it doesn’t pale in comparison to known destinations like Boracay or Palawan, specifically for its numerous beach destinations that’ll certainly leave you impressed.

If you want to know the best beaches to visit when in Pangasinan, then we’ve got you covered! Just check out our list below!

If you still can’t get the thought of Boracay out of your head while in Pangasinan, then going to Cabongaoan will definitely be your best choice. The beach offers the same white sand and clear blue waters that’ll surely satisfy your longing.

Apart from this, Cabongaoan is also famous for its ‘Death Pool,’ which is located on the western side of the beach. Though it’s relatively safe when tides are down, it becomes dangerous when high tide comes in. The hole fills with seawater from under and as waves splash, it creates a strong pulling force that could be dangerous for people. So, swim cautiously!
