Besides business and commercial infrastructures, New Clark City will also be the site for Philippine Science High School’s newest campus, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said on Tuesday.
In its announcement, BCDA said the campus will be built in a 4.6-hectare plot of land and will be called ‘Infinitum.’ The organization also noted that it will serve as a learning site for senior high school students and a resource center for teachers and professionals.
According to BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Vince Dizon, the new campus will play an important part in the development and training of educators as well as future science and technology professionals in the country.
“It seeks not only to spur immersive learning for students, but also to continue the development of teaching and non-teaching employees.”
Once built, the school will host state-of-the-art facilities, academic spaces, training venues, advanced laboratories, and a dorm – that will be constructed in phases said BCDA.
Apart from this, the campus will also sport facilities for traditional and alternative learning, a training center, a technology hub, a research center, an innovation center, a multipurpose academic building, an administration building, and a summer camp area.
“We hope that with the new PSHS campus, we will be able to give more opportunities for quality education to deserving Filipino students especially in Central and Northern Luzon,” Dizon shared.
PSHS is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
