Thanks to mWell, the only fully integrated health and wellness mobile application in the Philippines, thousands of Filipinos have been given the chance to quell their health worries through professional consultations.
On September 4 and 5, the company behind the app – Metro Pacific Health Tech Corporation (MPHTC) – organized a nationwide online medical mission through the application, which provided free consultations with primary care and specialized doctors.
The two-day event, which was called National mWellness Day, was hosted by Filipina Journo Kara David who emphasized the importance of medical care for Filipinos and the lack of healthcare programs to cater to our needs.
“As caretakers, guardians, or as a parent, the anxiety and challenges of getting quality medical care is heightened especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first ever virtual medical mission by mWell PH brings health and wellness closer to people. Nakakalungkot, subalit totoong may kakulangan sa healthcare para tugunan ang pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan.”
According to Dr. Melani Camarillo Espino, one of the volunteers for the initiative and mWell app physician, the platform allowed her to connect with and serve more patients during the pandemic.
“Using mWell is just like making a private house call with my patients from the comforts of their homes. The flow of my virtual consultations are smooth, plus I gained more patients through the app,” Espino shared.
Filipinos can now access mWell’s 24/7 doctor-on-call service to link up with professionals anytime of the day and at the comfort of their homes.
And with the platform’s diverse roster of general practitioners and specialty doctors, patients are sure to find the help they require.
