Tony Award-winning Filipino singer Lea Salonga has been cast in HBO Max’s upcoming series ‘Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.’

Salonga announced her inclusion in the new streaming show through her Instagram account on Tuesday (September 28).

“The moms have descended upon the town of Millwood! And we have secrets and lies of our own (can’t let the children have all the fun),” the 50-year-old performer wrote.

“So excited to be part of the cast of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” she added.

Salonga will join the show alongside Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Zakiya Young, and Carly Pope.

Variety says the show is set in the present and will follow the town of Millwood, whose tragic past will haunt its residents once more.

“Now, a disparate group of teen girls — the new ‘Little Liars’ — find themselves tormented by an unknown ‘Assailant’ and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago, as well as their own.”

Salonga will play the role of Elodie, an overprotective mother to Minnie, played by Malia Pyles.

The original ‘Prettly Little Liars’ series ended after seven seasons in 2017.
