If you’re one of those waiting for the opening of Jollibee’s first-ever branch in Spain, then it’s your time to rejoice!

According to an announcement from the Filipino fast-food chain, the restaurant – located at the heart of Madrid in Calle Arenal in Puerta Del Sol – will officially be opened to the public on September 23.

Earlier this year, Jollibee Group revealed that it’s planning to expand its operation beyond Asia, specifically in the continent of Europe.

The ChickenJoy maker said the new store in Spain is “part of its accelerated global expansion” initiative.

Jollibee said its new branch will be able to accommodate 180 guests and will “feature the brand’s store design reimagined for European customers.”

The store is also adapted to life in the pandemic – equipped with outdoor seats and hand-washing areas, among others.

“Unique to Jollibee Madrid is a double-height dining hall with a full-size palm tree right at the center of the restaurant. It will also feature outdoor seating, takeaway collection areas, digital kiosks to facilitate transactions, and hand-washing stations,” the company said.

Here’s what the store looks like!
