Margielyn Didal has achieved a lot of things as a world-renowned skater, and for this, she’s always been extremely grateful.
Just recently, she found a way to give back – by providing food packages to the homeless.
In a YouTube video posted on September 6, the athlete, who represented the country in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics, shared that she’s put up a new initiative called ‘ The Margielyn Didal Program.’
Through it, she intends to feed street dwellers and street kids in the city of Cebu, specifically in her hometown.
In the video, Didal and her team provided 300 food packages to the vulnerable and at risk.
To raise money for the project, Didal organized an online charity auction via Facebook Live.
According to the 22-year-old, she’s thankful to the people who participated in the live auction. She also extended gratitude towards her team and family, who helped with the project.
