Domagoso also pointed out the importance of having appropriate facilities for students, noting it’ll help in producing exceptional individuals in different fields.

“Kung ang mga pampublikong paaralan ay may produkto nang magagaling na indibidwal sa industriya na kanilang kinabibilangan, ano pa kaya’t kung pagdating ng araw meron silang sapat, maayos, at magandang pasilidad sa loob ng paaralan?” he shared.

The building is set to be built along Taft and will occupy a 3,690.80-square-meter lot. Once finished it will house 158 air-conditioned classrooms, five elevators, a canteen, a library, an auditorium, a gymnasium, and an outdoor sports arena.

According to Domagoso, the new building will not only help in improving education but will also aid the economy.

“Building this school is our own little way of stimulating our domestic economy in the City of Manila. At the same time, we address the perennial problem of the teacher-student ratio in our public education system,” he explained.

Apart from this project, two more are on the way: the 10-story building at the Rosauro Almario Elementary School in Tondo and Dr. Alejandro Albert Elementary School in Sampaloc.

The government of Manila has allocated a total of Php 5 billion for the modernization of several schools in the city.
