The Philippines’ very-own, home-grown fast-food chain Jollibee has debuted its very first store in Wales, United Kingdom.
The store, which is located at Cardiff’s Queen Street, opened its doors officially on July 24 – greeted with a long queue of people waiting to get their hands on the restaurant’s famous chickenjoy.
Some residents lined up as early as 6 a.m just to get their hands on Jollibee’s Pinoy offerings like the Jolly Spaghetti and classic Yum Burger.
The new Cardiff branch of the Filipino restaurant will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
And as part of Jollibee’s rebranding plan, the store has been painted purple and has been emblazoned with a mural on one side.
The opening of this new store is part of Jollibee’s long-term plan of opening 50 branches in the UK and Europe by 2025. There are now Jollibee branches in Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Madrid.
In May this year, the company opened its flagship restaurant in London’s West End, and similarly, it attracted hundreds of people on its debut day.
