On Wednesday (July 28), CEBU Landmasters Inc. (CLI) officially announced their new venture – the P2.5 billion Abaca Resort Mactan, which is also its very first resort development.

According to CLI, the expanded resort-hotel, which they acquired from Abaca Boutique Resort in 2019, will be re-invented to include a new 17-story tower with 125 all-suite accommodations – to be complemented with panoramic ocean views.

The resort will occupy a total of 4,500-square meters and will be located exactly where the former Abaca Boutique Resort in Punta Engaño, Lapu Lapu City once stood.

The company has tapped architectural firm Büro Ole Scheeren to take command of the resort’s new look. The team will be supported by Filipino leading architectural firm AIDEA.

The new Abaca Resort Mactan will feature a Sky Villas concept complete with infinity pools.

Its room offerings will range from 40 to 50 square meters for the Oceanfront Suites, and up to 105 square meters for the Sky Villas.

In addition, the resort will feature an elevated cascading plunge pool, 360-degree roof deck bar, a private beach, gym and spa, kids center, and function rooms for events.

Here’s what the new resort will look like:
