The Chery Tiggos will aim for the early solo lead spot of the Premier Volleyball League’s (PVL) Open Conference when they clash with Cignal HD on Monday (July 19) at the PVC Socio-Civic & Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
The Crossovers are expecting a repeat of their 25-20, 25-17, 25-6 pummeling of the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters during Saturday’s (July 17) league opener when they face off with Cignal.
Siblings Jaja and Dindin Santiago are expected to lead Chery Tiggo’s gameplay against Cignal HD after their stellar performance against the Hitters last weekend.
However, this strategy may prove difficult as Cignal HD employs seasoned spiker Rachel Anne Daquis at the forefront of its attacks and her equally capable teammates Ranya Musa, Fiola Ceballos, libero Jheck Dionela, Ayel Estranero, Roselyn Doria, and Janine Marciano.
On the other hand, PLDT is gunning to come back from their early defeat by scoring a win against Sta. Lucia in the opening match at 3 p.m.
Isa Molde, CJ Soyud, and veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan are expected to go all out to claim a win for the Power Hitters.
Similarly, Sta Lucia is aiming for a triumph after losing out on their first match, 25-18, 25-20, 25-27, 25-18, against Creamline last Saturday.
The Lady Realtors is betting on MJ Phillips and members Aiza Pontillas, Dell Palomata, Bang Pineda, and Rubie De Leon to snag their first win in the conference.
