Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin wants to lose weight and she’s sharing the start of her weight loss journey on social media.
On Tuesday, the decorated star shared her new meal plan on her Instagram Stories, which she mentioned was recommended to her by a nutritionist.
“Today is the first day of my diet. After so many years, I finally decided to go back,” Locsin said in her post.
The 36-year old also shared the first meal she’ll be having as part of her new weight program, which consists of potatoes and pork. According to Locsin, her nutritionist put her under an 800-calorie diet, a program that will enable her to achieve her weight goal.
“Yes, mukha siyang konti because I’m on an 800-calorie diet. And according to my nutritionist, ‘yon yung kailangan ko to achieve my goal,” she explained.
“So please bear with me and wish me good luck,” she told followers.
Locsin’s weight has been the topic of discussion for years now, specifically after she suffered from a back injury in 2015. The incident left Locsin unable to exercise due to pain, which caused changes in her weight.
In an interview with ABS-CBN in 2019, Locsin addressed issues regarding her weight, specifically those who attack her through body shaming.
“Kung iisipin mo, maaawa ka doon sa tao, kasi anong klaseng person ka para magawa mo ‘yon? Perfect ka? Hindi mo na lang papatulan,” she said.
“May mga bagay kasi na hindi mo dapat gawin sa kapwa mo. Kung ang taong ito comfortable siya sa ginagawa niyang ‘yan, ayaw ko mag-deal sa mga ganu’ng klaseng tao. Kasi sad ang life niya. Kasi ako, wala akong problema,” Locsin explained.
