The Philippines’ bet for Miss Universe 2020, Rabiya Mateo, has concluded her run for the crown in the top 21 of the historic pageant held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, May 16 (May 17 PH Time).
And though she may not have taken the crown home, Filipinos were quick to send their love to the 24-year-old Iloilo native, who represented the country in the 69th iteration of the contest.
Fellow Miss Universe Philippines winners Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray started what later on became a collective declaration of gratitude and support for the Filipina teacher, who trended on Twitter.
