After losing to the Los Angeles Lakers two games in a row, the Phoenix Suns has bounced back with a 100-92 victory over last year’s NBA Champions on Sunday at the Staples Center (Monday, PH Time).

Chris Paul was the top scorer for the Suns in Game 4 of their Western Conference first-round series with the Lakers.

He contributed a total of 18 points to the team and nine assists – his highest yet after getting injured in game one of the series.

Meanwhile, Devin Booker and Jae Crowder pitched in 17 points apiece. DeAndre Ayton followed closely with 14 points and 17 rebounds for the Suns.

Cameron Payne and Mikal Bridges also netted double digits for the game-winning team, 13 and 11 points respectively.

On the other hand, Lebron James scored 25 points for the Lakers’ camp, who struggled heavily after the second quarter with Anthony Davis’ exit.

On his way to the basket – seconds before the second quarter ended – Davis incurred an injury to his left groin – leaving him out of the game permanently.

The Phoenix took advantage of the situation outscoring Los Angeles in the third quarter by 27 points ending the segment with an 81-65 count.

Though the Lakers tried to cut Phoenix’s lead in the fourth quarter with a three-pointer from Marc Gasol and a free throw from James, the margin proved to be too wide.

The Sun’s recent victory levels their standing with the Lakers – both teams having won two times (2-2) in the best-of-seven series.

Game Five between the two teams will be held in the Sun’s home court at the Phoenix Suns Arena on Tuesday (Wednesday, PH Time).
