Professional boxer turned senator Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao is the third wealthiest boxer in the world, according to The Richest.
The Richest is a media company that ‘covers the wealth, net worth, and the luxurious lifestyles of the richest people in the world.’
Pacquiao landed the third spot in the top 10 list of the ‘Richest Boxers of 2021’ with a staggering $220 million net worth or P10.6 billion.
Most of Pacquiao’s wealth can be attributed to his extensive boxing career – with every match considered as blockbusters. He debuted in the professional boxing scene in January 1995 and remains active up to this day – his last match being with Keith Thurman, who he won against by split decision.
Besides establishing himself as a top athlete, Pacquiao has also entrenched himself as a successful businessman. Some of his well-known business ventures include Waterotor Energy Technologies, ONE Championship, Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), and real-estate company Revolution Precrafted.
Overtaking Pacquiao for the first place in the roster is undefeated American fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr., who boasts a $450 million fortune. Following closely is boxer George Foreman, who earned $300 million in his career.
Fourth on the list is Oscar Dela Hoya with a net worth of $200 million while Lenox Lewis is in fifth place with $140 million.
Also included in the roster are No. 6 Sugar Ray Leonard with $120 million, No. 7 Vitali Klitschko with $80 million, No. 8 Anthony Joshua with $60 million, No. 9 Tyson Fury with $30 million, at No. 10 Anthony Mundine with $30 million.
